Job Description

Join Our Team as a Financial Coach

We are seeking a Financial Coach to join our Center for Working Families (CWF) team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one financial counseling and group workshops for low- to moderate-income individuals. You'll support clients in building credit, managing debt, saving for the future, and accessing financial resources. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about financial empowerment and community impact.

A Day in the Life:

As a Financial Coach, your day begins by meeting one-on-one with clients-individuals and families seeking support to improve their financial well-being. You'll listen closely, assess their needs, and help them create personalized action plans for budgeting, saving, debt reduction, and credit building. Between sessions, you might prepare for an upcoming workshop on topics like smart banking or identity theft protection, tailoring content to the audience's needs. You'll collaborate with colleagues in team meetings to ensure clients are accessing the full range of support available through the Center for Working Families. Throughout the day, you'll update client records, track progress toward program goals, and coordinate with community partners or financial institutions to connect clients with helpful products or services. Your role is dynamic, people-centered, and deeply impactful-each day presents new opportunities to empower others and help them take control of their financial futures.

Schedule:
  • Standard 40-hour workweek
  • Some evenings (until 6:30-7 PM) and early mornings may be required
  • Team members rotate evening shifts for job training support (Tues & Thurs coverage)
You Would Thrive in this Position If:
  • 2+ years of experience in financial coaching, credit counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related area preferred. Equivalent experience considered (minimum 4 years).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Experience in teaching or leading workshops is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using data management systems.
  • Knowledge of challenges faced by low-income communities and available support resources.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Join us and use your expertise to make a tangible difference in the lives of families striving for financial success. Your innovative approach and dedication will help drive our mission forward. Apply today to be a part of a team that's committed to empowering our community, one family at a time.
