Position Title: Temporary Assistant Registrar

Location: Wilmington, DE

Assignment Type: Contract through December 2026

Hourly Pay Rate: $22-23/hr

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week

On-Site or Hybrid: On-site

An Addison Group client is looking for a Assistant Registrar!

A university law school is seeking a Temporary Assistant Registrar to support its Registrar's Office through the end of the fall semester in December. Reporting to the Registrar, this role supports faculty, administrators, and students by tracking enrollment, maintaining student planning, and evaluating each student's progress toward degree requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain student planning for degree and certificate programs
  • Audit student records to identify graduate candidates and confirm degree requirements are met
  • Certify graduates for state exams and assist with Board of Examiners requests
  • Generate reports on student data for administrators and faculty, including Dean's list honors and class rank
  • Set up and maintain the ExamSoft program for students
  • Set up and monitor faculty evaluations in Canvas Evaluation Kit
  • Support exam accommodations, including quiet space and extended time, and proctor exams as needed
  • Assist with building course schedules and setting up registration priorities
  • Run transcripts, prepare letters, and complete education verifications
  • Enter exam pass/fail information
  • Distribute email communications to the student body
  • Serve as a liaison to graduate, international, and legal studies program offices, assisting with registrations, grades, and Dean's actions
  • Assist students, faculty, and deans as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in higher education administration, academic services, or a registrar's office (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with particular strength in Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Preferred: Prior experience working in higher education
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move between a workstation and various campus locations
